Triplet is a punk rock band from Portugal. The album a fight for your hearth released in 2007 has marked me because it mixes at the same time elements of punk ska metal all that with a positive message. It is a very good album. THE INTERVIEW

Hello Jasmin it's been more than 10 years that I'm the Triplet group. 

How was the group created?

Hi:) I got a vision to start a band (before this I never was in a band or sung) I knew the vision was from God as it couldn’t have been anything I would have thought up! There was a desire to make music that was relevant to young people with a positive message: ‘Faith, Hope & Love.’ I shared the vision to start a band with a friend Alexi who played the guitar, then we needed a bass player & drummer so we prayed about it & three days later Pedro & Ruben joined! Later down the road Ben joined, and Ivo & Filipe also played with us sometimes. 

Which good memory did you have on the album a fight for your heart ?

I think the times we would hang out together as a band were always precious. The greatest times for me were performing & meeting the fans.

Do you have anecdotes of concerts which marked you of this period ?

Travelling every weekend to a gig in the van, starting the concert super late, taking people along with us, driving everyone home and getting to bed at 5am in the morning! There were always adventures! Haha it was a band life!

For the release of this album your band released a video clip called eyes 43. The rendering is not bad, I think I have the fans who come in the clip. How was the shooting process ?

The shooting process was a lot of fun! It’s always so nice to have friends / fans In anything you do. I think as a band we didn’t even call people fans but fams (short for family) we always tried to create a community feel to whatever we did so that everyone felt loved.

I saw on the internet that you are now on a worship solo project. I listened interesting but what about the Punk rock period ? Do you think you'll do punk rock again ?

Haha life is full of different seasons, every season is beautiful in its own way, you are always growing & learning. I will never say never!

EN 2023 will take place the WYD in Portugal. The jmj. World Youth Days. In short, why don't you go back up the band and propose a show to wake up young people with punk rock?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tWzJxceM2Fk

Haha who knows? I live in a London now, the guys live in Portugal. Our lives look very different to Triplet days!

Will very soon release the album of love and death. Brian Head welche is an artist who also wants with his band to spread a message of hope. Why not play a song with this artist. I will see Your rock.

What advice would you give for those who start singing?

Don’t give up! Be gracious & kind to yourself & remember to Practice ;)
